Summary: The AVEVA UE – Instrumentation Engineer (Build, Configuration & Data Management) will be responsible for configuring, managing, and validating instrumentation data within AVEVA Unified Engineering (UE) to support project execution and digital workflows. He will lead the build of discipline-specific objects such as instrument tags, loop data, device types, and I/O assignments, ensuring alignment with project standards and data consistency across the engineering lifecycle. With 6+ years of hands-on experience in AVEVA UE, he will collaborate with electrical, process, and mechanical teams to integrate instrumentation data, support deliverables such as instrument indexes and loop diagrams, and maintain high-quality data structures. Leveraging his strong knowledge of instrumentation workflows, datasheets, and ISA standards, he will enable accurate, reliable, and standardized data management for EPC and Owner/Operator projects in oil & gas, power, and chemical industries.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Configure and maintain instrumentation data structures within AVEVA Unified Engineering (UE) according to project specifications and standards.
  • Build and manage instrument tags, loop data, device types, and I/O assignments in UE.
  • Collaborate with other discipline leads (electrical, process, mechanical) to ensure data alignment and integration.
  • Develop and maintain instrumentation templates, datasheets, and library objects within UE.
  • Support data loading, validation, and cleanup activities to ensure high data quality and consistency.
  • Work with engineering teams to generate reports and support deliverables such as instrument index, loop diagrams, and hook-ups.
  • Troubleshoot configuration and data-related issues in coordination with internal teams and AVEVA support.
  • Participate in system testing, user training, and documentation of configuration processes.

Professional & Technical Skills:

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience with AVEVA Unified Engineering (UE) focusing on Instrumentation build and data management.
  • Strong knowledge of instrumentation engineering workflows, including tag creation, loop design, and device specification.
  • Experience with data modelling and configuration of instrumentation objects in AVEVA UE.
  • Familiarity with instrument datasheets, control systems, and I/O assignments.
  • Understanding of project execution standards, naming conventions, and discipline integration in a multi-discipline environment.
  • Proficient in data validation, troubleshooting, and reporting within engineering systems.

Additional Information:

  • Exposure to AVEVA Instrumentation, AVEVA Engineering, or other engineering data platforms.
  • Knowledge of ISA standards (e.g., ISA 5.1) and instrumentation best practices.
  • Experience working in EPC or Owner/Operator projects in sectors like Oil & Gas, Power, or Chemicals.
  • Familiarity with digital handover requirements and ISO 15926 standards is a plus.
