Senior DevOps Engineer - HashiCorp Sme

The Senior DevOps Engineer - HashiCorp SME will work closely with the Architects and Engineering Teams to implement and deliver various technical solutions for secure secrets management, encryption, and access control. This role focuses on the hands-on delivery of HashiCorp Vault configurations, integrations with CI/CD pipelines, and operational support. The engineer will also assist with automation, troubleshooting, and performance tuning to ensure smooth deployment and scaling across cloud and on-prem environments.

Due to the secure nature of this role, we are looking for candidates that have Australian citizenship and with an active security clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement Vault Solutions: Configure and deploy HashiCorp Vault instances, policies, and integrations with various platforms.
• Collaborate on Automation and CI/CD: Collaborate with security and solution architects to integrate Vault into CI/CD pipelines and automate secrets management processes.
• Monitor and Troubleshoot Operations: Maintain Vault services by implementing monitoring, alerting, and resolving operational issues.
• Support Governance and Security: Assist in developing policies, audit controls, and access management to ensure compliance with security frameworks.
• Document and Share Knowledge: Create technical documentation and support engineering teams in adopting Vault solutions.
• Infrastructure Automation: Design, implement, and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible to provision and configure infrastructure resources in a scalable and repeatable manner.

Here's what you need:

• Hands-on experience with HashiCorp Vault deployment and operations
• Strong proficiency in scripting (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Understanding of identity management, encryption, and security frameworks
• Strong collaboration and troubleshooting skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams
• Deep understanding of OpenShift or similar containerisation platforms
