Quality Engineering Lead

Leads a team of quality engineers through multi-disciplinary team planning and ecosystem integration to accelerate delivery and drive quality across the application lifecycle. Applies business and functional knowledge to develop end-to-end testing strategies through the use of quality processes and methodologies. Applies testing methodologies, principles and processes to define and implement key metrics to manage and assess the testing process including test execution and defect resolution.

Must have skills: Node.js. Good to have skills: JavaScript, Python (Programming Language). Minimum 5 year(s) of experience is required. Educational Qualification: 15 years full time education.

Basic Qualifications: Minimum of 4/5 years of progressive experience in a Software development Engineer in Test (SDET) in Media Testing, including automated testing of front end and backend services using a structured programming language. Proficient in object-oriented design and expertise with one of the following programming languages: Node/JavaScript, Python. Experience with test automation and unit testing frameworks. Experience testing media-based applications. Familiarity with media standards, formats, or protocols. Excellent problem-solving skills. Excellent collaboration skills and ability to use standard software development lifecycle (SDLC) tools such as Jira and Confluence, and version control systems. Experience leading one to two teams in technical solutioning. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Highly motivated, self-starting individual.

Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience developing test automation frameworks in JavaScript. Experience shipping a production React or Node.js application. Experience in mobile and web application development and testing. Experience with developing applications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS). Experience working with Agile methodologies. Working knowledge of web accessibility fundamentals. Experience with Jenkins, Kafka, Amazon SQS, and Kinesis. Experience writing Gherkin Syntax to facilitate the development of automated test scenarios. Experience with test suite/case/run management tools (e.g., JIRA Xray, etc.). 15 years full time education.
