Summary: As a Software Configuration Engineer, you will implement the configuration management plan as directed by the Configuration Lead. Your typical day will involve assisting in the design of software configuration and customization to align with business process design and application requirements, ensuring that all configurations meet the necessary standards and specifications. You will engage with various teams to facilitate smooth operations and contribute to the overall success of the projects you are involved in.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
• Responsible for team decisions.
• Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
• Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
• Facilitate training sessions for team members to enhance their understanding of configuration management processes.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of configuration management practices and suggest improvements.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive SaaS strategy that aligns with our overall business objectives and aligns with our company's cloud strategy.
• Deep understanding of SaaS technologies, cloud infrastructure, and a proven track record of success in managing and optimizing SaaS spend.
• Building and running a SaaS team.
• Conduct regular SaaS audits to identify potential areas for optimization and cost savings.
• Manage the entire SaaS lifecycle, from procurement and onboarding to renewal and termination.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, and business stakeholders, to ensure that SaaS investments are aligned with the needs of the business.
• Stay up to date on the latest SaaS trends and technologies to ensure that our portfolio remains modern and effective.
• Liaise with purchasing team to negotiate SaaS contracts with vendors to maximize value and minimize costs.
• Track and report on SaaS usage and performance metrics to measure ROI and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and implement SaaS governance policies and procedures to ensure that our SaaS environment is secure and compliant.

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Google Cloud Compute Services.
• Good To Have Skills: Experience with DevOps, Microsoft Azure Architecture.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and services.
• Experience with configuration management tools and practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve configuration issues efficiently.
• Multiple years of experience in SaaS management or cloud computing.
• Proven track record of optimizing SaaS spend and driving cost savings.
• Strong understanding of SaaS technologies and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with SaaS management tools such as Crayon, Zylo, or Intel Cloud Services.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with DevOps practices.
• Experience with data analytics and reporting.
• Certification in SaaS management or cloud computing.

Additional Information:

The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Google Cloud Compute Services. This position is based at our Hyderabad office. A 15 years full time education is required.
