Custom Software Engineer

Develop custom software solutions to design, code, and enhance components across systems or applications. Use modern frameworks and agile practices to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions tailored to specific business needs.

Must Have (Core – Applicable Across Most Selenium Demands)

These are the baseline expectations for almost all Selenium based automation roles.

• Proficiency in Selenium (explicitly listed as Must Have)
• Strong understanding of automated testing frameworks and testing methodologies
• Experience in developing and executing automated test cases and test scripts
• Hands on involvement in continuous testing across the application lifecycle, including regression, API, and security testing
• Ability to work independently, contribute to discussions, solve testing related problems, and progress toward SME ownership
• Collaboration with cross functional teams for defect tracking, resolution, and quality improvement

Good to Have (Commonly Requested, Not Universal)

These skills strengthen deployability but are not mandatory for every Selenium demand.

• Experience with Java Standard Edition (commonly used with Selenium frameworks)
• Exposure to Cucumber (BDD) for behavior driven automation
• Understanding of test automation strategy and framework design concepts
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices for automated test execution
• Awareness of environment and test data configuration supporting automation execution.

Depending on Client Needs (Demand Specific / Program Driven Overlays)

These should be added selectively, based on the client’s delivery model and program complexity.

• Deeper specialization in framework engineering (custom/hybrid frameworks, reporting, data driven or keyword driven approaches)
• Multi language automation exposure (e.g., Java / C# / Python bindings) when client environments are heterogeneous
• Stronger focus on CI/CD pipeline integration and execution at scale for DevOps heavy programs
• Broader testing coverage expectations (API, security, performance coordination) when roles span beyond pure UI automation
• Experience working in enterprise QA / GCC / AMS models, where continuous testing and operational stability are critical.
