Custom Software Engineer

Design, build and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements. This role requires a deep understanding of how to translate business requirements into functional software solutions, ensuring that the applications developed align with organizational goals. The position demands continuous collaboration with various stakeholders to refine application features and optimize performance, while also adapting to evolving business environments and technological advancements. The engineer actively participates in the full software development lifecycle, from initial concept through deployment and ongoing support, ensuring that solutions are robust, scalable, and efficient.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
• Responsible for team decisions.
• Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
• Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
• Lead efforts to identify and implement process improvements within the team to enhance productivity and quality.
• Mentor junior team members by sharing knowledge and best practices to foster professional growth.
• Coordinate cross-functional communication to ensure alignment of project goals and timely delivery.
• Monitor project progress and proactively address any challenges or risks that may impact outcomes.

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in SAP ABAP Development for HANA.
• Experience in developing and optimizing custom reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms within the SAP environment.
• Strong knowledge of SAP HANA database concepts and ability to leverage in-memory computing capabilities for application performance improvements.
• Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solutions.
• Familiarity with debugging, testing, and troubleshooting SAP ABAP programs to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Understanding of integration techniques between SAP modules and external systems to support seamless data flow.

Additional Information:

• The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in SAP ABAP Development for HANA.
• This position is based at our Gurugram office.
• A 15 years full time education is required.
