Custom Software Engineer

Develop custom software solutions to design, code, and enhance components across systems or applications. Use modern frameworks and agile practices to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions tailored to specific business needs.

Must Have (Core – Applicable Across Most SAP ABAP on HANA Demands)

Strong experience in SAP ABAP Development for HANA Ability to design, build, configure, and develop ABAP applications to meet business and application requirements Hands on involvement in coding, testing, debugging, and enhancing ABAP applications Experience collaborating with cross functional (technical and functional) teams to translate business needs into technical solutions Participation in code reviews, performance optimization, and troubleshooting Strong understanding of object oriented programming principles and application development fundamentals Experience working with Agile development methodologies Ability to work independently, contribute to team discussions, and deliver assigned components end to end

Good to Have (Commonly Requested, Not Universal)

Knowledge of database management, data modeling, and optimization techniques Familiarity with debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting in SAP environments Exposure to SAP integration techniques and tools within the SAP ecosystem Experience contributing to architecture and design discussions (more common at SSE/TL levels)

Depending on Client Needs (Demand Specific / Program Driven Overlays)

Use these selectively based on client landscape, SAP version, and engagement model. SAP S/4HANA–specific optimizations and HANA centric development approaches (when the client is fully on S/4HANA) Deeper expertise in performance critical ABAP on HANA scenarios (large data volumes, optimization heavy programs) Mentoring and technical leadership responsibilities for junior ABAP developers (common in GCC / AMS roles) Stronger focus on continuous improvement and modernization initiatives in long running SAP programs

Should have Good Communication Skills and leadership skills Should have Good analytical skills and presentation skills. Minimum 15 yrs. of full time educational is required. 15 years full time education
