As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves designing and developing tailored software solutions that enhance various system components. The role requires continuous collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of scalable and efficient applications. The engineer actively participates in iterative development cycles, applying modern methodologies to meet evolving business requirements while maintaining high performance and reliability across software products.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
• Responsible for team decisions.
• Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
• Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
• Lead efforts to identify and implement process improvements that enhance team productivity and software quality.
• Mentor junior team members to support their professional growth and integration within the team.

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Workday US Absence Management, Workday US Time Tracking.
• Strong knowledge of software development life cycle and agile methodologies.
• Experience in designing and implementing scalable software components using modern frameworks.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex software issues and provide effective solutions.
• Familiarity with integration techniques and working with multiple system interfaces.

The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Workday US Absence Management. This position is based at our Bengaluru office. A 15 years full time education is required.
