Custom Software Engineer

Assist in defining requirements and designing applications to meet business process and application requirements. Proficiency in SAP ABAP Development for HANA is required. Minimum 5 years of experience in SAP ABAP Development for HANA is required. This position is based at our Hyderabad office. A 15 years full time education is required.

As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves collaborating closely with various stakeholders to understand and translate business needs into effective software solutions. The role includes participating in the design and development of applications tailored to support and enhance business processes. Throughout the day, the engineer engages in problem-solving activities, ensuring that the applications align with organizational goals and deliver optimal performance. Interaction with cross-functional teams is frequent, fostering a cooperative environment to drive project success and continuous improvement.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
• Responsible for team decisions.
• Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
• Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
• Lead efforts to identify and implement best practices within the team to enhance productivity and quality.
• Mentor junior team members to support their professional growth and integration into project workflows.

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in SAP ABAP Development for HANA.
• Strong knowledge of SAP ABAP programming concepts and experience in developing custom reports, interfaces, and enhancements.
• Experience with database programming and optimization techniques specific to HANA environments.
• Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Familiarity with debugging, testing, and performance tuning of SAP applications.
• Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
