Develop custom software solutions to design, code, and enhance components across systems or applications. Use modern frameworks and agile practices to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions tailored to specific business needs. Proficiency in Cobol Mainframe is required. Minimum 3 years of experience is required. A 15 years full time education is required.

As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves creating tailored software solutions by designing, coding, and improving various components within systems or applications. The role requires working closely with team members to ensure that the software meets specific business requirements. The engineer actively engages in iterative development cycles, applying modern methodologies to build scalable and efficient solutions that align with organizational goals. Collaboration and continuous enhancement of software components are key aspects of the daily workflow, ensuring that the delivered products perform reliably in dynamic environments.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform independently and become an SME.
• Active participation/contribution in team discussions.
• Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for custom software development.
• Maintain and update existing software components to improve performance and reliability.
• Document technical specifications and development processes to support knowledge sharing.
• Assist junior team members by providing guidance and support in their development tasks.

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Cobol Mainframe.
• Strong understanding of mainframe environments and batch processing.
• Experience in debugging and troubleshooting complex software issues.
• Ability to write efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of integration techniques between mainframe and other platforms.
