Scala Developer

Design, build and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements. Must have skills: Scala. Good to have skills: Java Enterprise Edition, Java Full Stack Development, .Net Full Stack Development. Minimum 5 year(s) of experience is required. Educational Qualification: 15 years full time education.

We are looking for a skilled Scala Developer with strong experience in big data technologies and distributed systems. The ideal candidate should have experience working with Scala, Apache Spark, and data processing frameworks to build scalable data pipelines and high-performance applications.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using Scala.
• Build scalable data processing pipelines using Apache Spark.
• Work with large datasets and optimize data processing performance.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to understand requirements.
• Develop ETL pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and loading.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance and production issues.
• Participate in code reviews and system design discussions.

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience (at least 5-6 years of Experience) in Scala – Spark Framework, Hadoop, Oracle, or an equivalent Database (RDBMS).
• Strong hands-on experience in Spark SQL APIs (Transformations and Actions) and should be aware performance optimization techniques.
• Good understanding on Scala programming and Functional Programming concepts like Higher order functions, Partial Functions, Currying, scala collections and unit test framework.
• Good Application development experience on Java or equivalent OOPS language.
• Strong RDBMS hands on working experience on Oracle (Preferrable) and MS-SQL.
• Good Understanding on data modeling concepts such as Joins, Aggregations etc.
• Good Unix / Linux OS experience. Working Knowledge in Unix Shell-Script.
• Good Analytical and Problem-solving skills.
• Should have experience in tools like Gradle, git, Jira, Jenkins, Intellij Idea etc.

This position is based in Mumbai/Pune/Bangalore. A 15 years full time education is required.
