Cloud Operations Engineer

Deploy, configure, and manage cloud infrastructure environment and/or applications through cross-technology administration (OS, databases, virtual networks), scripting, and monitoring automation execution. Manage incidents with a focus on service restoration. Act as operations support for all compute, network, storage, security, or automation incidents/requests. Manage rollout of patches and release management schedule and implementation.

Must have skills: Google Cloud Platform Administration

Good to have skills: Microsoft Windows Server Administration, Shell Scripting Minimum 3 year(s) of experience is required

Educational Qualification: 15 years full time education

Summary: As a Cloud Operations Engineer, you will engage in the deployment, configuration, and management of cloud infrastructure environments and applications. Your typical day will involve cross-technology administration, including operating systems, databases, and virtual networks. You will also focus on scripting and monitoring automation execution, ensuring that incidents are managed effectively with a strong emphasis on service restoration. Additionally, you will oversee the rollout of patches and manage the release management schedule and implementation, contributing to the overall efficiency and reliability of cloud operations.

  • Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
  • Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
  • Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of cloud infrastructure best practices.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.

Professional & Technical Skills:

  • Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform Administration.
  • Good To Have Skills: Experience with Microsoft Windows Server Administration, Shell Scripting.
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture and services.
  • Experience with incident management and service restoration processes.
  • Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages.

Additional Information:

  • The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Google Cloud Platform Administration.
  • This position is based at our Kolkata office.
  • A 15 years full time education is required.
