Sales Operations Analyst

This role will specifically support the Sales Operations function for our client's Consumer Electronics business specifically for products cutting across the Smart Home and Wearables (Buds, Watches) categories. The Sales Operations team works closely with Sales professionals, ensuring accurate and aligned forecasting and supply chain planning that is revenue driven, while managing risks that pose a threat to overall profitability. The individual should be comfortable working with big data sets from multiple sources of truth, attuned to anomalies and be a skilled communicator to piece data together to distill these findings for the relevant stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Data Analysis and Synthesis:

  • Leverage tools/spreadsheets to monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends, anomalies, and insights.
  • Assist to develop forecasts by constructing automated Google sheets to pull out historical data and presenting them against various data sources (e.g., databases, raw data files, external systems) to distill sound forecasts on sales volumes and Initial Order Quantities (ahead of new product launches).
  • Generate, maintain and closely monitor Life Time Value trackers (built on Google Sheets) across multiple product categories.
  • Support the weekly Sales Pulse meeting cadence by ensuring data views are refreshed and validated for the Sales team.

Data Management:

  • Implement meticulous quality control procedures to maintain the highest standards of data integrity.
  • Document and communicate validation findings clearly to relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage forecast uploads, specifically handling automated Google Sheets and uploads to internal Supply Chain Management systems.
  • Perform weekly tracking and input of forecast adjustments and calibrations between leadership's original expectations and week on week actual sales.
  • Develop and maintain reports to track key performance indicators.

Process Management:

  • Collaborate closely with sales operations to optimize forecasting and calibration processes.
  • Recommend and implement process enhancements to improve data accuracy and productivity.

Qualifications

Analytical Skills:

  • Exceptional attention to detail with a keen eye for identifying data inconsistencies.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze data effectively to generate meaningful and top-line insights.

Technical Skills:

  • High proficiency in spreadsheet software (e.g., Google Sheets, Google Slides), including advanced formulas, functions, and pivot tables.
  • Proficiency in basic data analysis tools.
  • Ability to understand and adapt existing SQL scripts to duplicate and adjust existing data views for the relevant business areas.

Other:

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently and learn new tools

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in business analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and interpret data trends.
  • Proficient in Google Sheets & SQL.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience with data analysis (YoY, quarter on quarter, Week on Week).
  • Preferably have experience in similar fields eg.CG/ FMCG, Supply Chain
