Summary: We are seeking a skilled and proactive Support Engineer with 5–6 years of experience to provide application support and incident resolution for systems built primarily on the .NET technology stack. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Azure, AWS, and MSSQL, and be adept at troubleshooting, performance tuning, and liaising with development teams for root cause analysis.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide L2 support for production applications built on .NET (C#/ASP.NET/.NET Core).
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve application and infrastructure issues in Azure and AWS environments.
- Write and optimize SQL queries, perform MSSQL DB analysis, backups, and monitor performance bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with developers, QA, and DevOps teams for issue resolution and post-mortem analysis.
- Monitor application health and performance using tools like Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, or App Insights.
- Work with incident management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira, ServiceNow) to track and resolve tickets.
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for critical incidents and drive continuous improvement.
- Maintain documentation for support procedures and knowledge base articles.
- Participate in on-call rotations and handle priority incidents during off-hours when required.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- .NET Framework / .NET Core – Strong debugging and application support skills.
- MSSQL Server – Proficiency in writing queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
- Microsoft Azure – Experience with App Services, Azure Functions, Blob Storage, Azure SQL, etc.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) – Familiarity with EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, etc.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, logs analysis, and error handling in distributed systems.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools, Git, and release management processes.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Experience with containerized applications (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk, Datadog, or New Relic.
- ITIL Foundation certification or understanding of ITIL processes.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Microsoft ASP.NET.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- 15 years full time education is required.
