Application Support Engineer

Act as software detectives, providing a dynamic service identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems. This role requires a proactive approach to monitoring system performance, diagnosing problems, and ensuring smooth operation of critical applications. The position demands collaboration with different teams to maintain system stability and deliver timely solutions, contributing to the overall efficiency and reliability of business processes.

Define and drive the overall test strategy for data pipelines on Google BigQuery and Cloud Composer. Responsibilities include:

• Building and maintaining test automation for data validation, pipelines, and integrations.
• Leading and mentoring an offshore QA/SDET team.
• Contributing to data engineering work (BigQuery SQL, Composer DAGs, pipeline enhancements) when capacity allows.

Required skills include:

• Hands-on experience with BigQuery, Python, and Cloud Composer/Airflow.
• Strong background in test automation frameworks (e.g., PyTest).
• Solid understanding of insurance business fundamentals (policies, claims, underwriting, etc.).
• Experience working with or leading offshore teams.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have:

• Experience with CI/CD, data quality tools, or broader GCP components.

Additional Information:

• The candidate should have minimum 6 years of experience in Google BigQuery.
• This position is based at our Mumbai office.
• A 15 years full time education is required.
