Application Support Engineer

Act as software detectives, providing a dynamic service identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems. Minimum 3 year(s) of experience is required and 15 years full time education is required.

As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by investigating and resolving issues across various components of essential business systems. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying problems, analyzing system behavior, and ensuring smooth operation of critical applications. The position demands continuous monitoring, collaboration with different teams, and delivering timely solutions to maintain system reliability and performance in a dynamic work environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
  • Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
  • Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system challenges and implement effective resolutions.
  • Document troubleshooting processes and solutions to build a knowledge base for future reference.
  • Assist in the continuous improvement of support processes and tools to enhance service delivery.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members to foster skill development and knowledge sharing.

Professional & Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Atlassian Jira Align.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Experience in monitoring and maintaining software applications to ensure optimal performance.
  • Ability to analyze complex system interactions and provide clear, actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with software lifecycle management and issue tracking methodologies.
