EKS Configuration & Administration

Act as software detectives, providing a dynamic service identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems. Must have skills: DevOps Architecture. Minimum 3 year(s) of experience is required. Educational Qualification: 15 years full time education.

As an EKS Configuration & Administration, you will provide L2/L3 operational support for Amazon EKS clusters and hosted workloads. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges, ensuring the smooth operation of applications and systems. You will engage in proactive monitoring, analyze system performance, and implement solutions to enhance system reliability and efficiency, all while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Act as a support point for user issues related to namespaces, deployments, access, resource quotas, scaling, and cluster availability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve EKS-related incidents impacting applications or users within defined SLAs.
  • Participate in on-call and shift-based support rotations as part of infrastructure operations.
  • Coordinate with application, cloud, network, security, and DevOps teams during major incident.
  • Monitor EKS clusters, nodes, and workloads using AWS native and enterprise monitoring tools.
  • Perform routine health checks covering control plane status, worker nodes, pods, and critical system components.
  • Proactively identify issues such as resource saturation, node failures, or pod scheduling problems and take corrective action.
  • Support platform availability and assist in recovery or failover activities when required.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve EKS issues related to availability, connectivity, performance, capacity, and data access within defined SLAs.
  • Maintain accurate incident records and operational metrics for reporting.

Professional & Technical Skills:

  • Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in AWS Administration.
  • Good To Have Skills: Experience with AWS CloudFormation, Unix to Linux Migration & ElectricFlow - CloudBees.
  • Additional skills: AWS Cloud, Unix/Linux administration, Networking Fundamentals - Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure management and deployment.
  • Experience with monitoring tools and performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages for automation tasks.

Additional Information:

  • The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in AWS Administration.
  • Flexible to work in shifts during weekday & weekend during India hours (7 AM - 10 PM IST).
  • This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
  • A 15 years full time education is required.
