Application Support Engineer

Act as software detectives, providing a dynamic service identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems. Must have skills: Apache Tomcat Administration, Oracle Weblogic Application Server Administration, IBM WebSphere Application Server Application Deployment. Minimum 7.5 year(s) of experience is required. Educational Qualification: 15 years full time education.

As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by proactively identifying and resolving issues across various components of essential business systems. This role requires a dynamic approach to troubleshooting, ensuring the smooth operation of critical applications. The professional collaborates with different teams to maintain system stability and performance, while continuously monitoring and analyzing system behavior to prevent potential disruptions. The work environment is fast-paced and requires adaptability to handle multiple challenges that arise within complex software ecosystems.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
  • Responsible for team decisions.
  • Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
  • Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
  • Lead efforts to streamline support processes and improve overall system reliability.
  • Mentor junior team members to enhance their technical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of critical incidents and minimize business impact.

Professional & Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Apache Tomcat Administration, Oracle Weblogic Application Server Administration, IBM WebSphere Application Server Application Deployment.
  • Strong knowledge of server configuration, deployment, and maintenance within enterprise environments.
  • Experience in troubleshooting application server issues and optimizing performance.
  • Ability to analyze logs and system metrics to diagnose and resolve complex technical problems.
  • Familiarity with scripting and automation to support application deployment and monitoring tasks.
