Application Support Engineer
Act as software detectives, providing a dynamic service identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems. Must have skills: Veeam Backup and Replication. Minimum 2 year(s) of experience is required. Educational Qualification: 15 years full time education.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Backup Management (Backups/Recovery jobs)
- Monitoring (Software and Hardware)
- Performing Scheduled Backups and On-Demand Backup requests
- Backup troubleshooting on failures and slowness issue
- New Server, VM, Agent based backup configuration and removal as per request
- Performing critical and normal restores as per requests
- Participating in audits for successful backups and failure backups
- Backup software upgradation to latest patches or new version
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Experience on adding/updating backup and schedule policies, troubleshooting on backup failures, managing licensing and capacity usages.
- Experience on multiple agents which includes Filesystem, SQL, Oracle, Exchange, SAP, Active Directory and VM ware.
- Hands-on experience performing upgrades and patch updates.
- Good understanding of Deduplication in Veeam and its implantation.
- Experience knowledge on One Touch recovery, BareMetal restore.
- Experience on replication and secondary Copy management and configuring backups on multiple remote sites.
- Knowledge in performing disaster recovery backups. Managing High availability Backup Server and Performing backup migration.
- Experience on configuring the Disk and Tape library in backups.
- Hands-on experience in performing restoration of filesystem data.
- Experience in recovery of SQL, Oracle, Exchange, AS400, VM servers and DB2.
- Understanding of NDMP, VTL, SAN Media servers, file storage and Duplication options.
- Maintain all equipment for backup environment to include servers, disk, repository and tape library and storage devices.
- Experience in Installing /Removing Updates.
- Analyze and handle complex incidents and major incidents and promptly provide solutions.
- Handle complex changes across the production.
- Work with teams internal/external teams, vendors and all relevant stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery.
- Maintain the platform to the highest standard and ensure 24x7 support.
- Excellent Communication Skills, ITIL Process, Ticketing Management, Customer handling.
