Systems & Process Engineer Operations

We are looking for a dedicated Systems & Process Engineer Operations to join our Operations Support Team. In this role, you will provide general support in the area of equipment, maintenance, processes, and systems within a distribution environment. The focus is on optimizing the warehouse layout and the equipment, processes, and systems used for various operational activities, in accordance with medical device regulations. You will participate in large-scale projects and lead small-scale projects, collaborating with all relevant teams to determine roles, responsibilities, methods, and timelines for each step in the workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide general support to Operations with regard to equipment, maintenance, processes, and systems.
• Optimize the warehouse layout and equipment, processes, and systems for operational activities.
• Participate in large-scale projects and lead small-scale projects.
• Collaborate with relevant teams to establish roles, responsibilities, methods, and timelines.
• Evaluate and improve existing equipment, maintenance, processes, and systems to increase productivity, customer satisfaction, and cost efficiency without compromising safety, quality, and compliance.
• Develop and implement new equipment, maintenance, processes, and systems.
• Support and/or manage operational projects.
• Provide ongoing SAP support and actively participate in SAP-related projects.
• Collaborate with the Operations Team and other departments within the EDC (such as EHS, Quality, BPI, Customer Service, Supply Planning, Transport, Service Center) and relevant departments within the Business Units (primarily in the US).
• Proactively solve problems (including hardware and software issues) using available instructions or by developing new methods or techniques.
• Ensure inventory accuracy in the warehouse and manage the cycle count procedure, including investigation and reconciliation if necessary.
• Investigate service requests/complaints (internal/external) with a good understanding of operational processes.
• Investigate, resolve, implement, and document NCMRs and CAPAs with a good understanding of operational processes.
• Ensure that activities are carried out according to applicable internal and external processes, procedures, and guidelines (quality, environment, safety, health).
• Actively participate in team meetings and provide input.

Skills and Background:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Detailed knowledge of a major ERP system (SAP and WM are a plus).
• Knowledge of ISO13485 is a strong plus.
• Experience with automation technologies and tools (such as robotics, AGVs, WMS).
• Experience in a similar role within a warehouse environment is a strong plus.
• 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written); French is a plus.
• Excellent knowledge of Office applications, with strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with continuous improvement methods (such as Six Sigma, Lean, flowcharting, KPIs).
• Open-minded, creative thinker who can propose and implement improvements.
• Analytical, process-oriented and able to analyze existing situations and processes in a structured manner.
• Strong team player who can build relationships with colleagues within and outside the department.
