The Abbott Molecular Diagnostics (AMD) Division in Wiesbaden is looking for a

Medizintechniker / Elektrotechniker / Servicetechniker (m/w/d) im Außendienst - Region Köln

as Specialist Field Service (internal title)

The position holder (m/w/d) will take on the role of a technical expert for our product family of molecular diagnostics in the laboratory. They will be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance work, hard and software upgrades, installations, and deinstallations.

Your Tasks

• Technical support for AMD customers on-site (repairs)
• Scheduling and performing scheduled maintenance measures (PM)
• Device installations and deinstallations
• Ensuring customer satisfaction based on the customer satisfaction score (NPS)
• Achieving service performance metrics and ensuring economic growth and profitability per area

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, preferably in biomedical, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or medical technology, or a completed vocational training in the aforementioned fields with several years of professional experience
• First experiences in the field of outside sales and customer service
• Successful cooperation with customers, especially with laboratory staff, is desirable
• Technical expert for product line responsibility
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to identify and solve problems
• Strong experience in handling analytical tools and software
• Fluent German and good English skills
