This position reports to:

Technical Support Manager

Join ABB Motion Service and become part of a global leader in delivering service to high voltage rotating machines. As a Technical Support Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of providing expert assistance to internal teams and external customers, ensuring quick, efficient, and high-quality support. In this role, you will have a direct impact on customer satisfaction and loyalty through your technical problem-solving skills and dedication to service excellence.

You will work closely with a team of experienced colleagues in Västerås, supporting our local service units worldwide. Your role also includes warranty case handling, conducting root cause analyses, and identifying service business opportunities. You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Providing structured, high-quality technical support to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Handling warranty cases, including technical investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Recognizing technical issues through customer dialogue and remote asset connection.
  • Identifying new service business opportunities in collaboration with ABB teams and customers.

Qualifications for the role:

  • Holds a relevant technical degree (e.g. Electrical Engineering or equivalent)
  • A few years of relevant work experience, ideally within technical support, electrical machines, or control, protection, and regulation of such systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, improvement-oriented mindset to enhance workflows and customer service.
  • A team player with a positive attitude who contributes to a collaborative and supportive working environment.
  • Comfortable communicating clearly and professionally in both Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems is considered a plus.
