Role and Responsibilities

Do you want to be part of driving the sales of innovative solutions for electrification and service? ABB Electrification Service is growing and now seeks a Sales Specialist to join our team within power service. We offer you a unique opportunity to work with future technologies and create sustainable solutions for our customers within electrification. As a Sales Specialist, you will be a central part of our ambition to provide first-class service to our customers and help them optimize their electrical systems.

In the role of Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for sales and customer relations within our power service area for your region. You will work closely with our customers to identify their needs and develop solutions that make their electrical systems more accessible, reliable, predictable, and sustainable. You will also work closely with our internal team to ensure that we deliver high-quality services and products.

The position is located in Västerås, but since the position is regional, other locations in the area will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the sales of service products and solutions within electric power distribution - from low voltage to high voltage systems - including maintenance contracts, upgrades, and lifecycle management.

  • Build strong customer relationships and identify business opportunities through customer visits, needs analysis, and consultation, focusing on both new and existing customer segments.

  • Design and negotiate customer-specific offers in collaboration with bid engineers and/or sales manager, including technical and commercial aspects such as prices, terms, and agreements.

  • Plan and follow up sales activities by using ABB's approved tools, managing the quote backlog proactively, and proposing actions at order drop.

  • Support marketing and project implementation through effective value propositions, administrative handling of the sales process, and support to project managers as needed.

Your Background

  • Relevant education in technology, sales, or similar, or equivalent work experience.

  • Several years of experience in sales within technical or industrial service, preferably within electrification.

  • Experience in electric power distribution (low voltage up to high voltage systems)

  • Strong business understanding and experience in managing customer relationships at different levels.

  • Good communication and negotiation skills in both Swedish and English.

  • A goal-oriented and solution-oriented attitude as well as the ability to work independently and in teams.

  • Since travel is included in the position, it is required that you hold a B-driving license.

More About Us

You will join our Market and Sales Department within Power Service together with salespeople, bid engineers, and spare parts salespeople. The rest of the organization consists of project managers, service coordinators, contract managers, administrative staff, and our service engineers who every day help our customers on site.

ABB Electrification Service has about 60 employees in ten locations across Sweden. We have a wide product program and help customers secure the availability of their installed base. Our customers are in the paper and pulp, ironworks, energy companies, power grid companies, water and sewage, chemicals, and mining industries.
