Sales Manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive the sales processes of services in collaboration with the Sales Manager of Services, generate service sales opportunities, and ensure profitable sales within designated areas. Each day, you will focus on the penetration of the Installed Base (IB) and the sale of the entire portfolio of service products. You will also demonstrate your experience in building long-term relationships with customers and ensuring an immediate response to specific customer needs and problems.
The work model for the role is: hybrid.
This role contributes to the Motion Service division in Peru.
You will be primarily responsible for:
- Penetrating the IB, promoting various updates, modernizations (retrofits), and value-added solutions for the benefit of customers and ABB.
- Understanding the related channel strategy and pricing, and preparing, reviewing, and proposing sales plans, recovery plans when necessary.
- Generating service sales prospects and developing new market opportunities using market trend information and identifying and exploring possible new service portfolios.
- Acting as a promoter/seller of ABB's service products and solutions during marketing activities (campaigns, trade shows, exhibitions, conferences, client meetings).
- Establishing long-term relationships with customers by understanding their requirements and applicable regulations and demonstrating deep technical knowledge of service products/solutions to promote the Life Cycle Management (LCM).
- Contributing to price and quality-related risk assessments.
- Planning and conducting the appropriate number of weekly sales visits and reporting them in the CRM.
- Reporting prospects/opportunities, managing and updating the pipeline in the CRM.
- Updating and monitoring commercial proposals and tenders, and following up on proposal statistics.
- Communicating the contractual details according to ABB's offer and strategy and managing the sales administrative processes.
Qualifications for the role
- Education in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- More than 4 years of experience in technical service sales, preferably in electric motors MT/BT and generators.
- Knowledge of the mining market, power generation, and the industry in general.
- Experience with sales management tools, preferably Salesforce.
- Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
- Availability to travel 80% of the time.
- Bring your strong negotiation and interpersonal skills to achieve sales objectives and contribute to a dynamic environment.
