This Position reports to: Pharma Engineering Manager

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will act as a technical lead in pharma automation projects and be involved across the full project lifecycle, from early design phases to final handover. You will play a key role in translating production and process requirements into compliant automation solutions, while ensuring quality, documentation, and testing activities meet GMP standards. Working closely with colleagues and customers, you will contribute hands-on while guiding technical direction and fostering an engaging ABB project environment.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Acting as technical lead and approving automation design deliverables.
• Participating in and driving all phases of pharma automation projects from design to handover.
• Preparing and reviewing functional specifications based on process and design requirements.
• Programming PLC controllers and configuring ABB 800xA SCADA systems.
• Planning and executing test activities including FAT, SAT, signal and loop tests, and UAT.
• Ensuring project deliveries and documentation comply with GMP requirements.
• Documenting automation solutions according to regulated pharma standards.
• Contributing to a collaborative and motivating ABB project environment.

Qualifications for the Role

• Minimum 8 years of experience working with automation applications.
• Experience working in GMP regulated industries.
• Documented experience with GAMP5 methodologies.
• Solid understanding of pharma production processes.
• Experienced user of ABB 800xA automation systems.
• Knowledge of batch process automation following the S88 standard.
• Ability to document and quality assure automation solutions in regulated environments.
