This position reports to: Automation & PLC Team Lead

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with medium complexity. Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by applying basic design thinking/design for excellence concepts in projects.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions Business in San Luis Potosi.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Designing and programming automation systems using PLCs, HMIs and SCADA using ABB's GE's, Schneider's and Zenon's SCADA system.
• Developing I/O lists, control narratives (SOO), and functional design specs (FDS)
• Performing system architecture design for redundancy and high availability
• Implementing communication protocols and configuring network switches and VLANs
• Supporting manufacturing activities on shopfloor and FAT/SAT and site activities

Qualifications for the role:

• Bachelors degree in Control or automation engineering, Electrical Engineering, electro-mechanical engineer
• 5+ yrs experience in PLC/SCADA system design.
• Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Emerson, ABB, Allen Bradley, Schneider).
• Experience in SCADA design in Zenon, Cimplicity, iFIX, Ignition, Wonderware
• Experienced in industrial communication protocols (Modbus, IEC 61850, OPC, DNP3, Ethernet/IP, PROFINET)
• Advanced English
