This position reports to:

R&D Team Manager

We are looking for a talented and innovative Data Scientist to work in a System Drives R&D and analytics development team. Mission of the team is to develop value-add solutions and features helping our customers to obtain maximum availability and optimum performance from our variable speed drives. Examples of team deliverables are asset health solution, including features for automatic detection of abnormal behavior and remaining life time estimates.

In this role you will work in close collaboration with other drive experts, software developers and data scientists having opportunity to learn other domains. Team uses state-of-the-art technologies and follows latest developments in relevant fields.

You will have opportunity to contribute on all parts of development depending on your interests and skills.

The work model for the role is: hybrid

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Create means to transform data obtained from variable speed drives and production tests to easy to understand indicators and insights
  • Develop advanced algorithms and models to embedded and edge devices
  • Coach and support the team for enabling data driven development and usage of modern data science tools and methods
  • Further improve our data pipelines and data management
  • Work as a part of global development team following agile development practices

Qualifications for the role:

  • PhD. degree in Data Science, Signal Processing, Physics or on a related field
  • Excellent understanding on machine learning methods and tools and demonstrated experience on applying them in practice
  • Hands-on experience in software development, with familiarity in tools such as Git and Azure DevOps. Proficient in programming with Python and C++
  • You demonstrate a strong inclination toward teamwork and cooperation
  • Fluent spoken and written English
