This position reports to:

R&D Unit Lead

Your Role And Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to successful project results in technology, software, product, and/or solution development, as well as associated Intellectual Property (IP). Each day, you will act as the first point of contact in Research and Development for specific product-related issues and maintenance. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions.

In this role, you'll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.

This role is contributing to the Electrification business Distribution Solution division at Nashik, India. You will be mainly accountable for:

• Maintaining recognized expertise in a specific area by integrating the latest developments in technologies, tools, and methodologies into your work.
• Finding new ways of solving problems by following your ideas, creating hypotheses, and defining ways to validate them.
• Documenting work results (like findings, designs, or software), allowing others to maintain and improve them.
• Understanding and initiating IP generation in your area of specialization and participating in the project IP strategy development.

Qualifications For The Role

• You are immersed in our research and development function in switchgear business.
• You have 15 to 20 years of experience in Design and Development of Medium Voltage Vacuum Interrupters.
• You have hands on experience on CAD (Pro-E, Creo SolidWorks etc.), technical drawings and experience in PLM systems is required. Windchill is preferred.
• Possess an enhanced knowledge of metallurgical processes e.g powder metallurgy preferred.
• Knowledge on circuit breaker type testing (Electrical and Mechanical) as per applicable IEC standards.
• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Metallurgy engineering (should be full-time).
• You are at ease communicating in English.
