This position reports to: R&D Team Lead

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to ABB's success with technology, software, product, and system development. Each day, you will identify and implement innovative solutions to relevant problems. You will also showcase your expertise by providing ideas and by being able to work both independently and as a part of a Research & Development (R&D) team.

The work model for the role is: onsite

This role is contributing to the ELSP - AUINP in Jiangmen. Main stakeholders are Electromechanical Modules.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Technical and scientific proficiency and leadership
• Technology direction
• Innovation and creativity
• Projects, processes and tools
• R&D context
• Knowledge transfer
• Network and visibility
• Intellectual property (IP) and risk management

Qualifications for the role (Mandatory):

• BS in mechanical/electrical engineering with min. 5 years' experience or MSc in mechanical/electrical engineering with minimum 2 years' experience in R&D
• Good active learning ability and self-drive.
• Understand low-voltage electrical components and standards and their application in product design.
• Familiar with the commonly used engineering materials: plastic and metallic and related manufacturing / processing
• Proficient in CAD, e.g. AutoCAD, Creo, and MS office.
• Knows the simulations such as structure and thermal, etc. Apply the simulations in the design
• Capable of reading and express technical solutions in English
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Foreign enterprises R&D or Multinational teamwork experience is preferred.
• Agile work way experience is preferred.
