This position reports to:

Senior Project Lead Engineer

Your role and responsibilities

In this position, you will have the opportunity to act as a design authority within a discipline of low to medium complexity engineering. Each day, you will complete assignments in small projects or specific parts of larger projects, ensuring efficient and profitable execution.

You will also demonstrate your experience applying design thinking and design for excellence concepts in the assigned projects.

Work model for the position: Hybrid

This position contributes to the Process Automation Business Area in Lima, Peru.

You will be primarily responsible for:

• Evaluating, selecting, and applying standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering tasks.
• Providing technical support in testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Assisting in the preparation of engineering project proposals and presentations.
• Using checklists to execute design verification, in accordance with applicable standards and engineering guidelines.

Requirements for the position

• You have a university degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics or related fields, which supports a solid foundation in automation principles and control systems.
• You have between 3 and 4 years of experience in the field of automation engineering.
• You are actively involved in the development and implementation of industrial control and automation systems within the mining sector, and you enjoy working with advanced automation technologies, industrial communication protocols, PLC, and DSC.
• Special knowledge or experience in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, digitalization, and advanced process control (APC) will be highly valued.
• You have availability to travel and participate in projects both on-site and in the office.
• You have an intermediate to advanced level of English, which allows you to communicate fluently in technical and multidisciplinary environments.
