This position reports to:

Sales Support Manager

Your role and responsibilities:

The Pre-Sales Support Specialist will provide timely support to ABB Sales, ABB Distributors, Specification Engineers, Contractors, and End Users.

The work model for the role is: hybrid.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Product Salesgroup in Memphis, TN. You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Pre-Sales & Product Support: Provide pre-sales support and assist with accurate product selection for ABB electrical distribution and control products, including competitor cross-referencing.
  • Customer & Team Collaboration: Interact with customers and cross-functional teams (Sales, R&D, Supply Chain, Product Management) to deliver commercial solutions and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Case Management & Communication: Document customer interactions using Salesforce, respond to inquiries via phone, and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Global Coordination: Collaborate with global teams to support customer needs and maintain consistency in service and solutions.

Qualifications for the role:

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field, or equivalent experience; minimum 5 years working with ABB and GE products.
  • Product Expertise: Deep knowledge of residential, distribution, and control products including load centers, transformers, breakers, motor control, and MODBUS programming.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills; able to work effectively across all organizational levels and with U.S. customers via phone and email.
  • Team Orientation & Adaptability: Works well in team environments, demonstrating ownership and urgency to complete tasks and support customer needs.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
