Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive a step-change in the way maintenance is done: from reactive fixing to data-driven, predictive and continuously improving operations.

You will lead the processes to preserve and improve the efficiency of equipment, production lines and facilities, optimizing technical and financial resources through modern reliability practices, digital tools and AI-enabled analytics.

Each day, you will coordinate ordinary and extraordinary maintenance activities, ensuring high availability, safety and performance.

You will also own and evolve the technical documentation and data foundation (CMMS, asset history, standards), enabling smarter decisions and faster problem solving.

  • Define maintenance strategies for new production lines and facilities, ensuring reliability, maintainability and safety by design (RAMS mindset)
  • Plan, schedule and execute maintenance activities, including troubleshooting and diagnostics on mechanical, electrical and automation systems
  • Lead the transition to condition-based and predictive maintenance, leveraging sensors/data, AI/ML models and advanced analytics to: anticipate failures and reduce unplanned downtime, automate diagnostics and root-cause analysis, optimize asset availability and maintenance intervals
  • Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce maintenance cost and improve OEE, operational stability and energy efficiency
  • Evolve CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and asset data quality (work orders, spare parts, BOMs, history, failure codes), turning maintenance records into actionable insights
  • Monitor equipment performance through KPIs and dashboards, identifying trends and improvement opportunities in line with ABB standards and OEM specifications
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Procurement, IS/IT and Operations to redesign workflows, support installation/commissioning/qualification of new equipment and standardize best practices
  • Promote new ways of working, including digital work instructions, knowledge sharing, and structured problem solving (Lean/TPM)
