This position reports to:
Business Manager - E2E
In this role, you will be responsible for the implementation of the service strategy and promoting local service growth at the LBL level. You will oversee service operations for the business line mining & material and BU high power rectifiers, ensuring seamless collaboration across teams and high customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include managing service cost centers, aligning workload with cross-functional partners, and executing global service standards. You will also promote an effective safety and integrity culture in close cooperation with the LBL HSE manager.
Main Accountabilities:
- Service and Sales Strategy Implementation: Leads the implementation of the global business line M&M and BU HPR service strategy within local operations, with a strong focus on driving service sales. Aligns sales efforts with defined accounts, supports marketing initiatives, and collaborates across local business lines to boost market penetration. Actively engages in service operations to help achieve service sales targets and overall business growth.
- People Leadership & Development: Ensures the service organization is effectively structured, staffed, and skilled, in alignment with HR support and policies. Provides direction, encourages motivation, and develops both direct and indirect reports. Enhances service availability through targeted training and capability building.
- Continuous Improvement & Customer Satisfaction: Ensures high customer satisfaction across the installed base through ongoing service enhancements. Collaborates with product management to improve existing service offerings and develop new solutions aligned with global strategy. Applies standardized frameworks and contributes to global service development initiatives as needed.
- Business & Operational Accountability: Owns delivery of agreed financial targets (revenue, EBIT, OCF, NWC) within the global business line M&M and BU HPR P&L. Facilitates growth and retention of the service business through effective management of operations & maintenance customers, including handling claims, complaints, inquiries, and associated costs. Ensures consistent use and upkeep of service tools (ServIS, SSSP, CSE, FSL) within the service operations team.
Your background:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in organizational structuring, staffing, and leadership roles within technical or service environments.
- Degree in electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering; a background in business administration is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively, with a collaborative and solution-oriented mindset.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage across functions and cultures.
- Fluency in English; German and any additional languages are welcome.
