Your Role & Responsibilities

In this training, you will plan, build and maintain networks. You will install, configure and maintain servers and server operating systems as well as hardware and software systems. You will learn about IT security and implement it. You will also analyze and resolve hard, soft, and network problems. They create, update and distribute protocols and documents. In addition, you will support customers with inquiries.

In this role, you'll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.

The work model for the role is: onsite.

What It Takes To Run What Runs The World

  • This position is an apprenticeship (training) according to the Austrian vocational education system. Applicants must meet the legal requirements to start an apprenticeship (e.g., completion of compulsory schooling, residence in Austria or appropriate authorization).
  • Technical interest and understanding: You should have a basic understanding of computer hardware, networks, and operating systems. Interest in technology and the willingness to constantly educate oneself are important.
  • Problem-solving skills: You must be able to analyze, diagnose, and solve problems efficiently. This requires logical thinking and the ability to overcome technical challenges.
  • Communication skills: You often work with clients. Good communication skills in German and English are important in order to convey technical information in an understandable way and to understand customer needs.
  • Teamwork: In companies, you often work in a team. The ability to collaborate and share knowledge is crucial.
  • Security awareness: IT systems must be configured and maintained securely. Awareness of security risks and best practices is essential.
  • Organization and time management: Training requires the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work efficiently.
  • Flexibility and adaptability: The IT industry is constantly evolving. They should be willing to adapt to new technologies and continuously evolve.

In accordance with the collective agreement for the electrical and electronics industry in Austria, the minimum salary for this position is € 1,187.88 gross/month as of May 2025.
