ABB's Service Division partners with our customers to improve the availability, reliability, predictability, and sustainability of electrical products and installations. The Division's extensive service portfolio offers product care, modernization, and advisory services to improve performance, extend equipment lifetime, and deliver new levels of operational and sustainable efficiency. We help customers keep resources in use for as long as possible, extracting the maximum value from them, and then recovering and regenerating products and materials at the end of their useful life.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work with low to medium complexity as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Each day, you will plan and execute work on a first-time right approach with customers. You will also showcase your expertise by displaying a clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in your own area of responsibility.
Handles medium and low voltage systems and switchgear installation, testing, and commissioning; programs and tests protection relays; executes service work per customer orders and timelines; prepares material lists and ensures availability and quality of parts and equipment.
Performs on-site and remote field service tasks, identifies and resolves technical issues, troubleshoots equipment/process failures, recommends corrective actions, and proactively suggests improvements to prevent future issues.
Works directly with customers on-site to identify operational improvements and eliminate pain points; prepares all necessary documentation and customer reports for signature; utilizes all relevant tools and test equipment.
Applies safety rules and practices during service activities, reports unsafe practices and incidents, and ensures all work is conducted in compliance with safety standards and customer expectations.
