Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the Service portfolio is delivered effectively according to ABB standard processes and safety guidelines to satisfy customers. Each day, you will execute technical support, act as a specialist, and solve problems in your own area of expertise. You will also showcase your expertise by communicating both with the customer and ABB sales teams proactively to ensure customer needs are understood and business opportunities utilized for service growth.

Your Role and Responsibilities

  1. Providing technical support and solving problems in own expertise area via remote or on-site service in any Service category.
  2. Determining effective Service applications, equipment, and methods to develop, market, or manufacture new Service offerings to respond to customer requirements cost-effectively.
  3. Providing technical consulting on Service solutions to management and customers.
  4. Identifying new sales opportunities, proactively communicating both with the customer and ABB sales teams to ensure customer needs are understood and business opportunities utilized for service growth.

Qualifications for the Role

  • Ability to demonstrate experience in remote Field Service or onsite Service delivery - Conducted in a proactive and professional manner
  • Flexibility to support a 24/7 Service business
  • Multi-skill - disciplined in electrical, mechanical and software Engineering
  • Have experience of working on Automated robotic products
  • Manual or Automated Welding process experience
  • Hold Electrical qualifications or show a breadth working on electrical products and systems
  • Core O365 and windows bases applications skills including ability to proficiently write reports
  • Naturally methodical in proactive root cause analysis techniques
  • Can show experience of working within remote teams
  • Valid Full UK driving license
  • Upholds core Health, Safety and integrity values in all work related commitments
