Your role and responsibilities

The account manager is responsible for a defined geographical area and the assigned customers. He is responsible for the order intake/sales budget in compliance with the pricing guidelines. This includes the organization and planning of measures to increase order intake/sales, to acquire new customers as well as to introduce new products and systems. The account manager knows the needs of their customers and ensures that these are met in the best possible way.

You are mainly responsible for:

  • Acquisition of customers (defined target groups) for ABB and building or maintaining an intensive customer relationship
  • Development and assurance of an individual, solution- and value-oriented cooperation between ABB and the customers
  • Commercial negotiations and agreements at decision-maker level with growth orientation for customer and ABB
  • (Further) development of the customer target group with regard to technical and marketing-related competence of our product and system solutions
  • Continuous optimization of the cooperation with a focus on individual needs
  • Management of customer feedback and its integration into the organization
  • Ensuring the use of ABB software tools/configurators by the customer

Qualifications for the role

  • Training as an electrical master, electrical engineer or commercial training with technical affinity
  • Experience in the sales of technical products and systems is desirable
  • Expansion of the existing network
  • Knowledge of the electrical wholesale and electrical installation market in Germany
  • Very good German language skills
