Your Role And Responsibilities

The Field Application Engineer (or Sales Engineer) markets complex, technical products and convinces customers with technical expertise and strong sales skills. The FAE offers practical and individualized solutions for our customers and helps with the implementation of technical products and services. In doing so, he is in close coordination with account managers and customers. You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Technical sales and link between ABB product solutions and customers
  • Technical specialist with segment, application and product orientation
  • Active consulting and support in the planning and compilation of ABB products and systems in the special FAE area of expertise
  • Assistance and on-demand training of customers in the specialist area, in cooperation with PM trainers and account managers
  • Conversion of competitive products and customer baskets using tools and knowledge to prepare offers
  • Market observation for specific solutions in the specialist area and corresponding support for the segments and PM areas for new and further developments

Qualifications For The Role

  • Master electrical engineer / technician / electrical or industrial engineer
  • Experience in sales
  • Knowledge of building automation
  • Good knowledge of German, basic knowledge of English
