The Impact You'll Make in This Role

As a Senior Sales Representative, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. You will gain broad knowledge of 3M's processes, functions, and businesses through audits of subsidiaries, service centers, plants, acquisitions, and critical business processes. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the company's products or services to effectively communicate their benefits and features to customers.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and goals set by the company.
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through networking, cold calling, and other methods.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of sales agreements to close deals.
  • Gather feedback from customers and share it with the product development and marketing teams to improve offerings.
  • Maintain records of sales activities and customer interactions in a CRM system.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new opportunities.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as marketing and customer service, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Travel to meet with clients or attend industry events, as required.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who have the following basic qualifications:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand and articulate technical information.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
  • Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Previous sales experience min. 5 years (preferred Safety Market)
