EHS Safety Engineer

As an EHS Safety Engineer at 3M Standort in Neuss, you have the opportunity to use your knowledge to advance our shared success. Your responsibilities include:

  • Collaboration and support of the EHS Manager at Neuss RDO and Hilden Pilot Plant.
  • Ensuring compliance with §§5,6 of the Work Protection Law.
  • Acting as a technical expert for EMEA RDO facilities.
  • Promoting EHS culture and developing EHS training.
  • Collaboration with employees at all levels and participation in EMEA EHS RDO.
  • Implementation of improvements in EHS management systems and site coordination.
  • Conducting risk assessments, accident investigations, and supporting audits.
  • Advisory on the procurement of equipment and workplace design.

The minimum qualifications for this role include:

  • Degree in safety engineering, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering.
  • Qualification as a "Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit" according to local safety regulations.
  • Experience in manufacturing industry or occupational safety.
  • Excellent listening and strong communication skills in written and verbal German and English.

These additional skills are advantageous:

  • Extensive experience in EHS responsibility in an R&D facility.
  • Expertise in handling chemicals, PPE, lock out-tag out, machine safety, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, and risk management.
  • Auditor training or experience in conducting audits.
  • Experience in collaborating with all levels of an organization.
  • Strong prioritization skills.

  • On-site job in Neuss.
  • Travel expectations: Can include up to 10% within EMEA.
  • Full-time.
