The Impact You’ll Make in this Role:

As a Paper & Print Application Engineer for the USAC Area within 3M’s Industrial Specialties Division, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Providing expert technical support for 3M’s flexographic mounting tapes & repulpable splicing tapes
  • Leading product trials at customer sites
  • Collaborating with sales team to win new business and defend at-risk business
  • Supporting new product introductions
  • Training customers on proper use of 3M Paper & Print products
  • Troubleshooting and managing analysis in instances of customer complaints
  • Prepared and available for travel to customer locations throughout the U.S. and Canada

Your Skills and Expertise:

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Science or Engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Five (5) years of experience in the Paper & Printing industry
  • OR
  • Five (5) years of customer-facing Application Engineering experience

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Flexographic Technical Association (FTA) FIRST Level 1-3 Certifications
  • SAPPI safety training in coated graphic, packaging, and specialty papers production
  • Adhesive science expertise
  • Training content development & delivery experience

Work location: On-site 4 days/week

  • Maplewood, MN

Travel: May include up to 40% US/Canada travel

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

The expected compensation range for this position is $164,612 - $201,193, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
