The Position:

The Spring Tool Engineer is responsible for supporting, developing, and optimizing manufacturing processes related to the production of tooling and spring-related components. This role requires hands-on experience with shop floor operations, strong-problem solving skills, and an understanding of materials used, tool design, and machining process.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop and maintain job travelers and process documentation.
  • Assist in estimating cycle times, set-up times, and material requirements.
  • Support machine operations by providing technical assistance and process troubleshooting.
  • Evaluate and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency, cost effectiveness and quality.
  • Create layouts using AutoCAD.
  • Provide feedback on design for manufacturability to support quoting processes.

About You:

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, job shop environment; spring tool or tooling industry.
  • Strong knowledge of machining, grinding, and tooling materials.
  • Ability for read and interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Organization and planning skills. (Quickly finds answers to questions, minimizes mistakes, properly prioritizes tasks, and maintains a clean work area).
  • Attention to detail. (Gets involved in a level of detail appropriate to the position and ensures tasks are properly completed).
  • Team oriented. (Works well with others and pitches in as necessary to get the job done).
