General Maintenance Student
As a General Maintenance student, you will be part of our General Services team onsite at Canada's largest oil refinery, in East Saint John. You will work as part of a close-knit team of employees and fellow students, primarily outdoors, to accomplish various tasks important to the refinery's upkeep.
Responsibilities:
- Focused on exterior maintenance of refinery facilities
- Lawn maintenance, mowing and trimming
- Planting flowers, mulching, pruning, weeding
- Exterior painting of buildings, facilities and fixtures onsite
- Trained and assist with traffic flagging duties
- Sweeping, cleaning, painting curbs
- Cleaning vehicles, offices, compounds
- Litter control and pick up
- Assist with any Brand events
Your Skills:
- Safety as-a-way-of-life mindset; follow all safety protocols and procedures
- Ability to make decisions; manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Good organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to bend, climb, stoop, kneel, crawl etc., and able to lift up to 20lbs
- Ability to wear full PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as required by safety standards
- Valid Canadian driver's license
Your Experience:
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary education program
- Must have completed at least one year of post-secondary education and be returning to school
