Inside Sales Representative

As an Inside Sales Representative, you will engage with our residential customers and provide an excellent consumer experience. Your goal will be to assist the Residential Acquisition Representatives with their day-to-day by following up with customers to gain new business. Your success will be evident by your ability to work closely with operations and our Residential Coordinator to ensure service has been scheduled and deliveries are booked while ensuring all details have been captured within the pipeline logs.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Manage pipeline logs until activation. Ensuring service is booked and completed, following up with customers, updating pipeline logs with information from customer/operations
  • Contacting potential leads (web leads, incoming calls)
  • Manage call list when required: Inactive accounts (win back and/or execute any key strategy given)
  • Articulate the Irving Energy value proposition, handle objections and obtain new customer
  • Understand and execute on key special pricing/marketing programs
  • Manage the use of empowerment appropriately and escalate when required
  • Work with team to manage service escalations with regards to date availability
  • Respond to customer inquiries

Your Skills:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proven ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and be a reliable team player
  • Able to make decisions and support team members
  • Must possess strong communication skills with ability to quickly build rapport and maintain relationships

Your Experience:

  • High School with Post-secondary education preferred
  • 1-3 years' experience in sales/marketing and customer service required. Experience in a call center environment preferred
