I'm Sanchita Sinha, Head of Data & Analytics Delivery for Network & Common Products at Telia Company, and I'm searching for someone ready to grow with us. We're a supportive, forward-thinking Analytics team focused on building scalable, reliable data platforms that enable data-driven decisions across Telia's footprint.

As a Data Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and infrastructure supporting Network & Common Products analytics. Your work will ensure data flows seamlessly from ingestion to presentation, enabling analytics-driven product features, customer engagement, and operational excellence.

Our Network & Common Products span across all Telia regions, delivering trusted data and insights to our partner units. Our Big Data platform operates both on‑prem and in the cloud, creating a unified, scalable, and privacy‑compliant data foundation. We leverage modern technologies to transform raw data into actionable insights and power Telia Company's journey as a media aggregator.

What you'll do:

In this role, you will work in a cross-functional team tightly integrated with our Network and Common Products analytics teams. You will:

• Lead end-to-end initiatives independently, mentor team members, and manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
• Create technical enablers and patterns for others to follow, aligned with architecture guidelines
• Collaborate with analysts and business stakeholders to understand data requirements
• Develop and optimize data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and storing large volumes of traffic and customer data using Spark Scala, Python, and Airflow
• Architect and manage layered datasets (Raw → Curated → Foundation → Presentation)
• Design and maintain a flexible fact and dimension-based data model to support evolving analytics needs
• Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and alerting to ensure data integrity and reliability
• Maintain GDPR compliance and metadata governance

What will help you thrive in this role:

You are a self-driven problem solver with a passion for clean, scalable data architecture. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with analysts and business teams. You have:

• Proven 6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, with success stories in building and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure
• Strong programming skills in Python and Scala
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and familiarity with data orchestration tools like Airflow or similar
• Knowledge of data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts
• Experience with CI/CD practices and version control systems (e.g., Git)
• A proactive and curious mindset, with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills

Monthly salary range for this position – 4000 - 6000 Eur (gross) + annual performance bonuses. Although it may vary depending on your skills and experience.
