Data Platform Services Team Member

We are the newly established Data Platform Services team within Telia Technology Analytics Platforms unit. Our mission is to deliver top-tier, purpose-built, and value-driven capabilities in Data and AI to Telia. We believe that enhancing analytical capabilities is crucial for boosting Telia's operational efficiency, improving our product offerings, and elevating customer experience. To accomplish this, we provide a unified set of tools designed to meet the needs of every country.

My name is Mikko Olin, Head of Data Platform Services, and I am seeking team members who are enthusiastic about collaborating on our AWS data platform, Cirrus, as well as with integrations with other platforms and services. Cirrus enables multi-tenant large-scale data analytics while ensuring governance, security, observability and compliance, and supports ML and GenAI use cases.

Is this you? You excel at analyzing complex problems, articulating suggested solutions, developing them, and collaborating with colleagues when needed. You take ownership of your responsibilities and are an excellent communicator.

Your personality:

• Team player
• Self-motivated with learning mindset
• Understand business value and demonstrate it in implemented solutions
• Good storytelling skills

We would like you to have experience from some of the below:

• Building and/or maintaining cloud-based data platforms
• Python
• Managing Kubernetes deployments and infrastructure
• IaC (Helm, Docker, Terraform)
• Experience with Apache Spark, Apache Airflow and Trino
• Setting up CI/CD pipelines
• GitHub & GitHub Actions

Bonus if you also have experience from:

• GitOps
• Big Data technologies and ETL processes
• DBT (data build tool)
• Data warehouse & analytics background
