The Directeur(Trice) de vente directs a team of sellers who stimulate the customer experience and achieve sales objectives, while providing an engaging employee experience.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Achieve sales objectives for multiple areas of responsibility
  • Achieve customer service objectives and respond to customer concerns
  • Recruit, select, hire and integrate the best talents
  • Lead, motivate and retain a team of high-performing employees
  • Collaborate with other store managers to achieve effective sales and customer service
  • Communicate standards, parameters and performance objectives to employees and provide guidance on behaviors that promote the achievement of these objectives
  • Adopt leadership behaviors that promote a culture of open communication, employee development and trust
  • Maintain all health and safety practices in accordance with the code of conduct
  • Supervise the program of designated sales advisors/designated expert advisors (CVD/CED) for assigned departments; collaborate with suppliers for SIP, objectives, etc.
  • Recognize and reward extraordinary performance; provide feedback and develop performance improvement plans for employees with insufficient performance
  • Lead the team to develop, update and increase a base of active customers
  • Implement customer relationship management and loyalty programs
  • Act as acting store manager (ASM) as needed
  • Establish high standards in the presentation of merchandise at all times
  • Evaluate stock performance on a regular basis and create improvement strategies
  • Participate in the development and influence the seasonal plans of the store
  • Identify opportunities to stimulate activities
  • Manage payroll budgets while providing appropriate levels of coverage at all times to meet business needs
  • Maintain daily operational awareness of in-store concessions to ensure consistent customer service
  • Comply with health and safety policies and requirements
  • Ensure compliance with privacy, regulations and cybersecurity measures

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory position with responsibility for stimulating sales
  • Proven experience in exceeding sales and profit objectives
  • The ability to quickly adopt/initiate changes
  • Retail sales experience, preferably in a luxury environment
  • An entrepreneurial spirit

  • Individual objectives related to the achievement of department goals
