The directeur(trice) de vente directs a team of sellers who stimulate the customer experience and achieve sales objectives, while providing an engaging employee experience.
Specific responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:
- Realizes sales objectives for multiple areas of responsibility
- Meets customer service objectives and addresses customer concerns
- Recruits, selects, hires, and integrates the best talents
- Directs, motivates, and retains a team of high-performing employees
- Collaborates with other store managers to achieve effective sales and customer service
- Communicates standards, parameters, and performance objectives to employees and provides guidance on behaviors that promote the achievement of these objectives
- Adopts leadership behaviors that promote a culture of open communication, employee development, and trust
- Maintains all health and safety practices in accordance with the code of conduct
- Supervises the program of designated sales advisors/designated expert advisors (DSA/DEA) for assigned departments; collaborates with suppliers for SIPs, objectives, etc.
- Recognizes and rewards extraordinary performance; provides feedback and develops performance improvement plans for employees with insufficient performance
- Leads the team to develop, update, and increase an active customer base
- Implements customer relationship management and loyalty programs
- Acts as the acting director of the store, as needed
- Establishes high standards in the presentation of merchandise at all times
- Regularly evaluates stock performance and creates improvement strategies
- Participates in the development and influences the seasonal plans of the store
- Identifies opportunities to stimulate activities
- Manages payroll budgets while providing appropriate levels of coverage at all times to meet business needs
- Maintains daily operational awareness of in-store concessions to ensure uniform customer service
- Complies with health and safety policies and requirements
- Ensures compliance with privacy regulations, regulations, and cybersecurity measures
The ideal candidate should possess:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory position with the responsibility to stimulate sales
- Proven experience in exceeding sales and profit objectives
- The ability to quickly adopt/initiate changes
- Retail sales experience, preferably in a luxury environment
- An entrepreneurial spirit

- Individual objectives related to the achievement of the department's objectives
- Feedback from internal and external customers
