Responsibilities And Duties:

  • Verify and pack all outbound LTL and truck load shipments for correct quantities and items.
  • Ensure the optimum loading of all outbound trailers for accuracy, integrity, load sequence, and maximized "cube" shipments.
  • Verify for proper loading to ensure safe transit of material to customers.
  • Verify on hand inventory by performing daily cycle counts.
  • Help control flow of people, equipment, and product on dock as it pertains to completion of orders, receipt of incoming, and transfers within inter-plant.
  • Must be able to operate digital scales.
  • Occasional driving of powered industrial equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Management:

None.

Experience And Required Skills:

  • 1+ year(s) of related experience.
  • SAP Experience a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Attention to detail including counts, weights, and shipment information.

None.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
