Deliver a quotation package including comments on exceptions and added value for the sales engineer to use in customer presentations, while being aware of the sales engineer's strategy for the quotation opportunity to ensure a quality outcome. Participate in the order delivery process as needed to ensure proper order conversion. Fully adopt and utilize new tools and technology to improve efficiency. Review project plans, specifications, and contractor counts to generate accurate bills of materials and pricing. Interact with specialists (engineers, product designers) and customers to determine design intent and recommend products. Discuss and develop bid strategies for projects with the sales team to maximize hit rate and profitability. Request factory quotations as needed to ensure price levels align with territory pricing and remain competitive. Negotiate prices with customers. Propose value-engineering solutions for projects. Follow up on project bids to identify patterns of success or failure. Maintain accurate working documents and files (electronic or hard copies) to facilitate smooth project handoff to other departments.
